How we ever got from a kidnapping to "The Way" I can only ascribe to being directed by someone other than us.  So, that's the name - pretty cool.  We decided on Tuesday's at 7pm at the Miller house (at least for now).  We have agreed that in order to live the life we think God has for us, we need to do it in the company of other bad-to-the-bone warriors who see the Kingdom of Heaven as the territory for their lives and live there with authority.  In Matthew 4:17, Jesus invites us to that Kingdom, but we must repent.  Repenting is a 180 degree turn the other way.  It does not just mean stop doing bad things and be good.  It means everything has changed.  We need to re-evaluate life and understand it from a completely different (oposite) perspective.  Matthew spends  quite a bit of time talking about what the Kingdom of Heaven looks like, who it's for and how it works.  It is very much worth considering.  Please respond to this blog by commenting and sign up for the RSS feed so you know when there is a post - you'll get an email.
For this week:
1.  think through the question: "What is the Kingdom of Heaven?"
2.  Read through the genealogy in Matthew 1:1-17, pick two of the people in the list and find out who they were, what they did, what kind of character they had and how they contributed to the line of Christ.  Does it seem contradictory?  Do they sound like the kind of people your Sunday school teacher thinks you should be?  Why did God use them in the line of Christ - what truth is revealed?
It would be much better for our discussion next Tuesday if there was some interaction on this site before then.  Share what you have to say!
I'm excited to do this with you guys.  Have a great week - I hope you can feel the presence of Jesus walking with you.

Hey-

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]. To him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Thats my new verse for the year.

Also, check out Blue Letter Bible, its a great online bible website.

Guys! This website is amazing! I am so excited. Sadly Carter and I wont make it this week but be sure to keep us posted on what you talk about. I honestly think that this could change all of us in the best possible way. I don't have a new year verse or resolution but I hope to live a more fulfilling life with my brothers in arms (you guys) this year.

No one could make it, so it just didn't happen. Carter suggested a possible reschedule this week. When could that happen?

you think you've had a rough day? Check out Job. That dude's world was turned upside down and inside out. Could we handle this test?

I have a question. If somebody were to ask you what religion you "are" or what you believe, what would your answer be?
